Tavernier Tschanz advised SpineArt SA in a CHF 50 million financing round

EGS Beteiligungen AG invested CHF 50 million in SpineArt SA, thus becoming a cornerstone investor in the company next to the co-founders Jérôme Levieux and Stéphane Mugnier-Jacob and Gimv, its largest shareholder.

SpineArt SA is a fast-growing spinal devices company, which over the last four years, has doubled its sales to reach a worldwide turnover of EUR 66 million in 2019, doubled its staff (plus 200 employees), strengthened its leadership team, vertically integrated manufacturing operations and increased efficiently its profitability. The proceeds of the financing round will be used to implement strategic clinical studies, accelerate SpineArt’s organic growth in key markets, seize selective acquisition opportunities and for continued development and launch of superior technologies.

Tavernier Tschanz acted as legal advisor to SpineArt SA and its lead shareholders in this transaction.

The team was led by Jacques Bonvin and included Andrea Wuerzner and Pierre-Yves Vuagniaux.
