M&A transactions are a key part of the DNA of our firm. Active in the field since day one, we have developed a strong M&A practice and most of our lawyers (including members of our Dispute Practice) have, at least at some point in time in their career, been deeply involved in M&A.
Transaction Tigers
We advise clients on all types of transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, LBOs, MBOs, MBIs, IPOs, restructuring, divestitures, spin-offs, as well as general domestic and international financial operations.
Our clients range from large multinational companies, investment banks and private equity funds (including venture capital funds) to middle-sized and small successful companies, as well as scale-ups, start-ups and entrepreneurs.
We often act as lead counsel in cross-border deals, entrusted with the drafting of the related legal documentation and coordinate law firms in the various jurisdictions involved on a given transaction.
In relation to technology, we advise venture capital firms and funds, corporate venture funds, academic institutions, as well as investors in connection with raising finance for start-up or scale-up companies, which requires the input and cooperation of specialists in various sectors. We also assist start-ups, scale-ups and investors in their exit strategies (trade sales, IPOs, etc.). We were pioneers in venture capital in Switzerland and have in the past couple of decades been instrumental in hundreds of financing rounds, involving CHF billions in the aggregate.
